Or living on a Sr. Automated Testing Specialist's salary with no kids, and no house.
Hey B-
What the resolution that that thing can snap at? I was looking at the Sony F707 for my next Digi-cam, but I just want to make sure i'm not going to get "gyped-off".
I want to be able to take VERY HI-RES photos and use them for print (for reasons other than work).
Any ideas which would be a good one?

they do a really good job with getting the spec info, reviews and samples of the pics (hi res as well) on the site.

thanks for the site link
My favorite reviews are at DCResource.com
There's enough info to answer the techie stuff... but it's not written over your head if you're not a pro photographer.
Donn... they've got reviews of both of those... they're very similar (both 5 megapixel with good telephoto)
I leaned towards the Nikon because of the extra telephoto and the slightly better macro abilities (for taking super close up figure shots.)
